The weather in Manchester may potentially be a wash out over the May Bank Holiday weekend, with Bank Holiday Monday experiencing the best weather over the weekend.

Tudors On Tour at Tatton Park – Saturday 2nd May – Monday 4th May 2015
Celebrate King Henry VIII’s arrival at Tatton Park with the un-missable ‘Tudors on Tour’. Presented by Historic Royal Palaces, this fabulous family festival brings to life the magnificence and splendour of the King’s travelling court and his Royal Progress through a spectacular mix of jousting, feasting and royal entertainment, plus a cutting edge 360 degree digital pop-up palace. Tickets include exclusive access to the festival and all the royal activities taking place, including your chance to get involved with all things Tudor; live performances, Tudor crafts and games, Tudor farm, Tudor food and drink, music, dance and soft play. Thomas The Tank Engine visits East Lancashire Railway – Saturday 2nd May – Monday 4th May 2015
The all time favourite, little blue engine will be making his annual appearance at the East Lancs Railway in Bury this weekend. Tickets can be purchased directly from the ELR website. Adult ticket are priced at £18 and £10 for children aged 2- 15 year, family tickets are available. Your one-time ticket grants you unlimited access to all of the events and attractions all day, as well as free travel on the trains! Meet Sir Topham Hatt, th Fat Controller, watch the Troublesome Trucks making mischief, visit the Imagination Station to colour and draw, get your face painted and so much more! There are regular puppet and circus shows, a pottery workshop and each child receives a Junior Engineers Certificate and a free gift!
Lowry Outlet Food Festival – Saturday 2nd May – Monday 4th May 2015
TV fashion guru Gok Wan will be appearing on Saturday 2nd May, Great British Bake-Off star Paul Hollywood on Sunday 3rd May and Mr. Bloom and Katy Ashworth from CBeebies will be appearing on Monday 4th May, as the Lowry Outlet Food Festival returns to Salford Quays and MediaCityUK this Bank Holiday weekend.
The free three-day food event has all the ingredients for a great weekend, with a bustling outdoor artisan market full of food and drink stalls, live entertainment and demonstrations. A kids cookery zone will be available. Tickets to see Gok and Paul can be purchased from the Lowry Outlet Food Festival site.
