After a manic few weeks where our feet didn’t touched the floor, not even through dealing with colds, it was lovely to get out and enjoy the fresh air and experience a last glimpse of the sun before it disappears for Winter!
We found ourselves heading to the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club for their Family Fun Day which was part of their 20th Birthday celebrations. Unfortunately the event was postponed a few weeks ago due to the weather, a good decision as the weather God’s decided to be kind to us on the day!
Having never visited the hotel before I was absolutely blown away by not only how vast it is (it is set in 200 acres of scenic parkland, complete with its own championship golf course!), but how gorgeous and well maintained it is! Mercure Hotels take note… this is how it is done!
With lots of bouncy castles, slides, an inflatable assault course, teacup rides, boat swings, face painting and even donkeys, the children were well entertained on the day.
Stalls selling products from local companies were fantastic to look around but the best part was the BBQ! For one final keto-free day I was able to enjoy a glorious burger in all its glory – with everyone chomping away happily, it was the perfect way to end the week and a fabulous Family Fun Day out!
I did have a little nosey around before leaving and checked out the Grill In The Bar which has come highly recommended by Jane from A Little Lyrical, but I was easily sold on the Afternoon Tea in the Brew Bar Lounge, it looked very yummy indeed! I also noted the spa, which is one to check out in the future!
If you do get the chance to stay in the hotel, you will certainly not be disappointed. With so much to do and amazing dining options, you can choose whether to be pampered or as active as you like.
I have no idea how the Worsely Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club has managed to escape my attention before, what with it literally being on my doorstep. It’s hard to believe it is only a stone’s throw away from the bustling of Manchester City Centre! The hotel’s situation is fantastic, whether you are looking to experience the thriving nightlife or culture Manchester has to offer, or as a stop off on your way to Manchester airport, this is the perfect hotel to relax in.
