Easter eggs are being consumed, the Easter roast lamb is a distant memory and life after the bank holiday is getting back to normal… but how are you going to keep the children occupied during the school holidays? Let’s have a look at what is happening in the Manchester region over the Easter Term break…
A LEGO Adventure
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester has just launched their latest all new 4D movie, which we were lucky enough to watch a couple of weeks ago. The movie follows a new journey for Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, Benny and MetalBeard after they receive a mysterious invitation leading them to a new theme park. But not all is as it seems as the heroes are once again thrust into the middle of an evil secret plot, only this time, it will be up to the audience to use their Master Builder skills to help save them. Using elements such as wind, water, smoke and special lighting effects, the larger-than-life experience takes the film’s main characters, Emmet and Wyldstyle, and their friends on another awesome adventure. And watch out for the introduction of a totally new character too as Risky Business joins the cast. By far, my favourite LEGO 4D movie by far, it is well worth a trip to LEGOLAND this Easter!
Florasaurus is coming to town!
Between Thursday 7th April 2016 and Sunday 10th April 2016, Florasaurus will be available at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. The free interactive experience will include photos opportunities with the Florasaurus, competitions and activities made with the help from our friends at the Eden Project activity boards. The cool dinosaur made from plants will be visiting Manchester to help reengage kids with where their food comes from. The stunt from Flora demonstrates how many of the world’s biggest and most magnificent creatures were powered by plants.
It’s time to get muddy!
Muddy Puddles will be hosting the first of a series of fun, free outdoor events for families in Manchester on Sunday April 24th from 11am till 1pm. The first event is a nature scavenger hunt and craft activity at Moston Fairway, a Wildlife Trust nature reserve. The educational scavenger hunts will enable children to explore the beautiful surroundings and discover more about the nature around them. Children will have fun learning about the great outdoors and take away fond, long lasting memories, as well as a Muddy Puddles goody bag. The event is free, however booking is essential – book your tickets here.
