Eating out whilst on lockdown

Eating out whilst on lockdown isn’t possible at the moment – we all need to stay at home – that and the fact that the majority of restaurants have been closed since lockdown began. When they will reopen is yet to be seen, however all being well we could see restaurants begin to open their doors from July onwards.

If cooking is a chore you need a break from at the moment, there are many fabulous restaurants that are offering takeaway services to help you take a breather.

Takeaways open in Manchester during lockdown

Croma Pizzeria in Didsbury (check out our review of the Croma Manchester pizzeria) are offering local deliveries via Deliveroo and also a call and collect service during limited hours.

Juniper & Vine in Bury are offering local free deliveries to BL8 postcodes for their amazing wood fired pizzas.

Campo Blanco Tapas in Whitefield are delivering cold food and drinks in areas around Manchester on set dates and times.

Indian Lounge in Ramsbottom are open for deliveries and collections most evenings and you are advised to call with your order.

Foundry Project in the Northern Quarter is offering takeaways via Deliveroo of their yummy pizza, burgers, fries and drink.

Above is just a very small section of the Manchester based restaurants still offering their services during the Coronavirus lockdown. A huge thank you to all the restaurants going to extraordinary lengths to help us experience some normality during these crazy times!

Lockdown seems to have been fuelled by food in many homes, with people turning to comfort eating more than ever to help make some sense of what is actually going on! Carbs seem to be my downfall at the moment, proving that Keto is the perfect lifestyle for me. However I have thoroughly enjoyed every bite, especially of the gorgeous pizza we enjoyed from Juniper & Vine (featured above) last week.

If like me you have noticed an intolerance to some foods whilst on lockdown, it maybe wise to consider nutritional testing to give you some idea of what to avoid in the future. One things for sure, all the fantastic restaurants in Manchester will need our support more than ever once life returns to some normality. Check out our previous reviews of Manchester restaurants to choose which to visit!

For now, stay safe, stay in and check out more restaurants delivering food in Manchester over on Deliveroo!

It’s wonderful you have so many restaurants near you offering takeaway, my husband is fed up cooking and he is glad a few places have opened by us too!

After so many weeks of being good (let’s not mention the cake!) and cooking every day, it’s nice to have a break and a well deserved treat… especially when it is delivered to your door! With more takeaways now opening it’s all quite exciting! 🙂 x
