Here we go with another Half Term holiday from school and with the weather hotting up (looks out of the window at the rain) it looks to be a week filled with spectacular events to keep the whole family entertained. Here are just a few of the May Half Term and Bank Holiday activities taking place in Manchester

The Lost Carnival

The most enchanting carnival in the world, suddenly stopped touring in its heyday, under suspicious and mysterious circumstances. The carnival is coming back, but can the audience help it to ward off past dangers and bring it back to its former glory?

The Lost Carnival is a large scale outdoor immersive theatre event for families. With performance artists, the festival is an immersive, spectacular experience that invites families to step into a world unlike any other. The first ever large scale event to be held at Burrs Country Park, Bury.

Tickets are £10 each and children under the age of 3 years can enter for free.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre has recently added a new DUPLO Village attraction to it’s already extensive list of rides and attractions to keep you entertained. Aimed at children aged 2-5 years, the attraction will help children build, learn and also hone their co-ordination and concentration skills. A true family oriented festival in the North West… Watch live shows on the “Geronostage” explore Themed Woodlands and Build a Den. Watch a CircusRide a DonkeySwing through the Trees, enjoy a thrilling BMX bike display, zip down the High Wires if you Dare! Go wild in the Adrenaline Zone or get arty in the Craft Marquees. Enjoy storytelling shows. Bounce around in the Inflatable Village or hit the dance floor with our Zumba and Ballet workshops. Children of all ages can have fun in the Survival School and get up-close to cuddly creatures in the Petting Zoo.

Geronimo is aimed at families with children under the age of 12.  Geronimo tickets are on sale priced £22.50pp, with family passes priced at £86 (children under the age of two go free). Tickets on the day are £25pp.

Loads on this weekend, Im gutted I’m not well enough to go to any of it. I hope the Lost Carnival does well and is back next year 🙂 x
