Charlie and Lola fans will be egg-static this Easter half term as the characters make a visit to the Oldham Coliseum Theatre.
Renowned independent theatre company ‘Watershed Productions’ will be bringing Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play to life at the Coliseum from April 8th to April 9th 2015.
Children aged 3 and upwards and their grown-ups are invited to join Charlie and Lola as they explore the different seasons, encountering new things (like a new school term) and, most importantly, friendship.
Charlie and Lola are a brother and sister who started life in a series of books by author Lauren Child and have since become the stars of a BBC cartoon series and a further series of spin-off books.
Playful, funny and full of surprises, Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play is a magical mix of puppets, live action and music. The play draws on a number of well-known storylines from the books and series including: Lola’s first day at school, Lola and Lotta look after Sizzles the Dog and Charlie and Marv play at being pirates.
The Extremely New Play is 1 hour and 15 minutes in length, with an interval… perfect for an ice cream run!
Tickets are priced at £10 and can be purchased directly from Oldham Coliseum Theatre.
Address: Fairbottom Street, Oldham. OL1 3SW
