It’s a shame that Mother’s Day is only celebrated once a year – it’s only now that I am a mum myself, I realise how stressful the role is, but also so rewarding.
Sometimes we need to take time out for ourselves to have a breather before diving right back in again! We all know we go through peaks and troughs with stress, but it is always interesting to see exactly how much stress we go through on a daily basis as a parent. School pick up time, meal time, homework time are all a contributory factors for (significantly) increased stress levels!
BuyAGift.co.uk have a really fun Mum Stress Test Quiz on their site, with 10 multiple choice questions to answer, the final score giving an indication of how stressed you are and recommendations to combat this. If you are looking for a more in-depth reading of your stress levels, apps such as HRV4 Training measure your Heart Rate and Heart Rate Variability reliably with out the need of a heart rate strap or sensor.
I have been tasked by BuyAGift to measure my stress levels on a normal daily basis and compare with the levels on a treat day. Gifting me with a Spa Day for two people SmartBox voucher (£99.99) surely the ultimate treat for any Mum this Mother’s Day, I am pretty sure my stress levels will be non existent after a good massage and lazy time in a sauna!
The SmartBox range offers lots of fantastic inspiration for the perfect Mother’s Day gift… whether you a looking for a spa, adventure, special occasion, Afternoon Tea treat and more, covering a range of prices. Whilst time is not on my side at the moment to enjoy this experience, you will have to come back and read my review after Easter to find out if a Spa Day treat really did reduce the stress levels of two mums!
