Mini Me Puts The Vapiano Kids Menu To The Test #LittleVaps

by MM

For one of the last treats of the Summer, Mini Me and I headed to our local Vapiano restaurant in the Corn Exchange, Manchester with Jenny from The Brick Castle and her children. Italian food is an absolute favourite in our house and as a huge fan of Vapiano, it was lovely to be invited down to be part of their #LittleVaps campaign to make children into superstars and find out their thoughts on the restaurant.

I always love how airy and bright the restaurant is and the children certainly loved watching their food being made in front of them, even interacting with the chefs whilst they were cooking. Much more entertaining than watching me cook that’s for sure!

The food is absolutely stunning, choosing from an extensive menu with the option of taking away and adding extra ingredients.

It was the first time viewing the Vapiano Children’s Menu and it was great to see a varied selection of pasta, pizza and salad dishes knowing full well than Mini Me would select a Margherita pizza with the option of adding chicken to this. The children’s menu dishes as listed at £4.95 each and any additional ingredients are extra on top.

Each adult is given a card to use for ordering purposes, making it ridiculously easy to keep track of what you are ordering. The atmosphere is so relaxed, one of the attributes that endears itself to me, making it a wonderful dining experience with children. There is plenty of space to park prams and highchairs are available for younger children, with lots of benches of different heights for families to dine at.

Alas, me being me, totally didn’t specify ‘Kids pizza’ and Mini Me had to munch on an adult sized pizza, which was no great hardship as it meant we got to bring half the pizza home in a handy takeaway box for later! Jenny’s children did order off the kid’s menu and were presented with a shaped pizza that resembled a snowman, a bag and a fish dependent on which way the plate was turned. All the food was delicious and all the children thoroughly enjoyed their lunch – alongside the desserts that followed.

Here is what I ate… a delicious Cognac Pasta dish with extra spice!
