Online dating is a very funny thing… meant obviously in the fact it is highly amusing, but also for the fact you simply cannot grasp any logic behind anything about it!
Lack of conversation and you have sealed your fate of the delete and block functions, show some originality though and you can guarantee interest and intrigue.
I do have a few fail safe questions that I like to ask potential suitors, generally along the lines of thinking questions to keep the conversation running smoothly… it is also a crafty way to find out someone’s worth and their character.
So when I was posed with the question ‘what couldn’t I live without if I moved to the middle of nowhere?’ for a #IWouldMiss campaign, I was utterly stumped! To the point that I had to ask the question to a friend for her to give me inspiration. It really is such a fantastic thinking question to ask and there really is no end to the list of possible answers to this question… as you can see!
We deliberated over whether the middle of nowhere meant a being deserted on a tropical desert island, if so then it really did determine what we would miss! My friend decided that no matter where she was, she would miss: lip balm; something to compile lists on as she is a total planner; a phone to contact friends and family whilst still having to play games; glasses so that she could then see and a toothbrush, as in her words ‘no-one wants manky teeth!’. We were also assuming that our families were with us.
My list included items such as my phone, as this would ensure contact was always made with the outside world! Being slightly more practical, I would miss utilities such as water, electric and gas – all the things we take for granted on a daily basis. I’m sure a gas tank could be easily be shipped to me though, LPG prices are slightly more competitive than the more common energy suppliers too. There may actually be some advantages to living in the middle of nowhere!
However, I would miss the hustle and bustle of life in general most of all. I do love having people around me and the convenience of nipping to the local shop if I am running low on milk.
It’s a great question to get the creative juices flowing and one I shall definitely be using if the need arises in the future! 😉
