The Glamour Beauty Festival (in association with Boots) is making its grand debut in Manchester over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of November and beauty lovers and followers from across the country no doubt have a lot of questions regarding this brand new extravaganza. Below, we’ll do our very best to answer them.
What’s it about?
A festival dedicated to the whole world of beauty, the Glamour Beauty Festival is a two-day long celebration of all things beauty-related. There are several different zones themes after everything from hair and makeup to wellness and some of the biggest brands in the industry will be present to show off their wares and offer complimentary treatments. The festival will also feature a line-up of your favourite celebrities and influencers as well as some of the world’s best stylists and artists, many of whom will be giving talks throughout the weekend.
Where is it happening?
The festival takes place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex on Windmill Street in Manchester. The complex was converted from the old railway station and is one of the most fully-featured centres of its kind in the UK. It’s also situated sola bang in the centre of the city, close to both the iconic gay district and the Spinningfields area.
Where do I stay?
There are plenty of options when it comes to accommodation in the city of Manchester. As the convention complex is centrally located, you’re really spoilt for choice when it comes to hotels of all levels – from your basic Travelodge to your more discerning DoubleTree and everything in between. If you really want to spoil yourself though a serviced apartment Manchester would be the ideal choice. This will allow you and your friends to live in luxury for the weekend and have your own space to chill after the hectic days spent at the festival and before the big night out on Saturday.
Where do I eat?
Manchester is famously wealthy with luxury dining options. From the Randall & Aubin oyster bar on Bridge Street to the iconic Erst, which offers perhaps the most spectacular meal in the North, if you care about food, it’s a truly wonderful place to be. If you’re into comfort food, meanwhile, there is the decadent Hawksmoor steakhouse or the Dakota Bar & Grill, whilst for fast food, try El Camino on Princess Street.
