The Rock Bury Christmas Light Switch On 2015

As the countdown continues for the opening of the annual Manchester Christmas Markets, surrounding towns are gearing up for their Christmas Light Switch on evenings. Generally fun filled, a tad on the cold side (so make sure you wrap up warm), but always guaranteed to get you into the Christmas spirit… you may even spot a celebrity or two!

On Thursday November 12th 2015, from 4pm till 7:30pm, The Rock in Bury will be transformed into a ‘Take Me To Narnia’ theme, complete with the lion (I am guessing this is not real!), the witch and the wardrobe to snow, stilt walkers and Santa, it’s set to be a truly magical evening!

The Rock Bury

The rather hunky Jake Quickenden from X Factor and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here fame and former Westlife member Markus Feehily will be in attendance on the night. Local acts also performing include Bury based Active Dance and Bolton’s The Music Place Choir as well as Tiger Heart, Myth of Unity, Blood and Soul and Zoe Unsworth.

Take Me To Narnia will also signify the official opening of  Bury’s own Christmas food fair, with stalls selling everything from German sausages and roast pork sandwiches, to crepes and hot chocolate!

On the night someone will win a family trip to the real Narnia…Lapland! Plus there will be prize draws on stage every 15 minutes from 5pm to win some great prizes such as Frankie & Benny’s meal vouchers, a blowdry at Toni & Guy, jewellery from Pandora and Peter Jackson as well as a bowling package at AMF.
